The Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum is staffed by both full and part-time museum professionals, retail, hospitality, and maintenance personnel. 

Susan Lanning, President & CEO

Susan Lanning joined the Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum in June, 2007.

Prior to her arrival in Greenville, she served as executive director of the Fire Museum of Texas in Beaumont for 7 years. She holds a master's degree in museum studies from Baylor University. Prior to her work in Beaumont, she took the lead in implementing several programs during a year-long internship at the Hubbard Museum of the American West in Ruidoso, New Mexico.

Linda Owens, Assistant Director

Linda joined the Museum part-time in June 2007 and full time in September, 2007. She holds a master's degree in English and is a retired high school teacher with 31 years experience.
